# Mutator > Mutator is an AI app for UGC-style videos and slideshows for TikTok and > Instagram. You make a format once, make as many posts from it as you need in > one sitting, and schedule the ones you want into your accounts' posting times. You describe a brand once and build a format: the shape of a post. In one sitting you make a batch of short-form videos or slideshows from it, with captions. They go to your library; Mutator posts nothing on its own. A post exists once a person has picked the file, the account and the time, and it goes out at that time. Mutator then reads how it performed and feeds that into what it makes next. Two things are true of it that are not true of most tools in this category, and both matter more than any feature: - **A person chooses every post.** There is no path from a timer to a post: a run publishes nothing, and every post carries the id of whoever picked it. No API key or connected agent reaches that choice, because the public API has no scheduling endpoint and the MCP server has no posting tool. This is the product's central constraint, not a setting. - **Generation runs on Mutator's own accounts and is paid for in credits.** Every plan includes a monthly allowance, nothing needs connecting to generate, and spending ceilings are enforced before a provider is contacted. Made by Bitnook GmbH, Bern, Switzerland. Signups are open. ## Documentation - [Public API](https://mutator.app/docs/api): Drive Mutator from your own systems over HTTP: start runs, watch them, read performance. Bearer-token keys, read and write scopes. - [Mutator in ChatGPT](https://mutator.app/docs/chatgpt): Create UGC content from ChatGPT with your products, AI characters and formats, see it in the chat, and open it in Mutator to schedule. - [MCP server](https://mutator.app/docs/mcp): Connect an AI agent to a Mutator workspace over Model Context Protocol. Nine tools, none of which can post anything. - [Zapier](https://mutator.app/docs/zapier): Make videos and pictures from a Zap and hear about them when they are made. Four triggers, three actions, none of which can post anything. - [n8n](https://mutator.app/docs/n8n): Make videos and pictures from an n8n workflow, on your own machine. A polling trigger and a node, neither of which can post anything. - [Make](https://mutator.app/docs/make): Make videos and pictures from a Make scenario. Three instant triggers and three actions, none of which can post anything. ## For AI agents - [MCP server](https://mutator.app/mcp): Model Context Protocol endpoint, and a page explaining it. POST JSON-RPC there, or open it in a browser to read how it works. An agent can list formats (the tools call them automations), start test runs, read performance and report what a run made. No tool on it can post anything, that is deliberate. A GET that does not ask for HTML returns the tool list, without a key. - [Public API](https://mutator.app/api/v1): HTTP API with bearer-token keys, read and write scopes. Part of every paid plan. ## Product - [How it works](https://mutator.app/how-it-works): Short-form videos, slideshows and TikTok clones, each step by step, from adding a product to scheduling the post. - [Pricing](https://mutator.app/pricing): Pro $39/month, Growth $89/month, Studio $199/month. Every plan includes monthly credits for generating video and images. - [Connections](https://mutator.app/connections): The accounts Mutator can use, and what each one is for. - [Examples](https://mutator.app/examples): What the output actually looks like. - [Blog](https://mutator.app/blog): How it works, and what we learn running it. ## Legal - [Privacy](https://mutator.app/privacy) - [Terms](https://mutator.app/terms) ## Optional - [Full documentation as one file](https://mutator.app/llms-full.txt): every published document, concatenated.
